KAST Card and Cashback: Memberships, Fees and Redemption
Use a KAST Card to spend your KAST balance and earn rewards on eligible purchases. Standard has no annual membership charge. Premium and Private add higher cashback caps, points and different included cards, but their annual fees deserve a separate cost check.

What does the card cost to use?
| Card cost | Published fee |
|---|---|
| USD spending and top-ups | 0% |
| Non-USD exchange | 0.5%–1.75% |
| Non-USD purchases under $25 | $0.10 extra |
| Insufficient balance decline | $0.50 |
| USD ATM withdrawal | $3 + 2% |
| Non-USD ATM withdrawal | $3 + 2% + FX |
ATM limits are $500 per withdrawal and three withdrawals or $1,500 per 24 hours. Your FX fee depends on your region, transaction location and card program. Example calculated by MoneyQuest: a $20 non-USD purchase at 1.75% FX costs $0.35 in FX plus $0.10 for the small purchase. Eligible Standard cashback would be $0.30, leaving $0.15 in net fees before other costs. Rewards do not make every payment free. [2]

Effective cost = upfront total minus estimated cashback; cashback is not deducted at payment. Eligibility, redemption, waiting periods, exclusions and your app’s terms apply. Points and perks are unvalued.
Annual membership fee: $0.00, excluded from this transaction estimate. Compare personal memberships and annual fees.
Excludes ATM-operator charges, exchange-rate differences and funding costs. A declined payment for insufficient balance costs $0.50 (not added). Bank payout fees don’t apply to card transactions. [2]

How to create or order a card
- Complete account verification, then open the card section and choose Order Card.
- Choose an available design and virtual, physical or combined option. Review the price before confirming.
- For a physical card, enter the shipping address and check the delivery estimate. Activate it in the app after delivery.
- Fund your account using a supported deposit method. Check your balance before purchases and recurring subscriptions.
The creation guide counts deleted cards toward the total limit of 10; deleting a card does not reset that count. A physical card is optional. [7][8]

How do you earn and redeem cashback?
Eligible purchases can earn cashback up to the membership spend cap. Eligibility depends on the merchant category assigned by its bank and payment network. ATM withdrawals, cash advances, money transfers, quasi-cash, fees and refunded or reversed purchases generally do not qualify. A refund can remove cashback already earned. [4]
- Open Rewards and check whether the cashback is Locked or Redeemable.
- Allow the published 14-day waiting period, then tap Redeem and Redeem now.
- Review the amount and confirm. Redemption is manual.
- Keep at least $0.10 in your main USD Spending Balance to use redeemed cashback.
Redeemed cashback pays for future eligible card purchases first. It cannot be withdrawn to a bank or external wallet. If redemption is unavailable, check the lock, region and account review status, then contact Concierge. [5]

When does cashback post?
Sources are inconsistent: the cashback guide says at authorization, while the eligibility guide says typically after settlement. Treat an early reward as provisional and use its in-app status.
Are KAST Points worth cash?
Points have no verified cash conversion value. The current points guide says a standard token launch is no longer planned, while an older FAQ on the same page still mentions an airdrop. No token value or payout date is promised here.
