KAST Reserve and How to Deposit

KAST Reserve is a separate USD balance that can qualify for promotional cashback rewards. To fund it, first receive money into your KAST USD balance, then move eligible USD into Reserve. Reserve is not a bank savings account, and its funds are not insured or risk-free.

Independent MyMoneyQuest guidance built from official KAST Concierge articles, not a KAST publication. No in-app transaction was performed. Country, eligibility and feature access are decided by KAST for your account — nothing here means a feature is available everywhere.

What are the published promotional rates?

Published Reserve promotional figures [2][1]
MembershipAnnual feeAnnual reward rateHigher-rate balance cap
Standard$08%No individual cap stated
Premium$1,000Up to 10%$50,000
Private$10,000Up to 12%$200,000

Subject to confirmation in your app. Eligible balances above the paid tier caps receive the Standard rate. KAST can change, pause or end the promotion. These rewards are promotional cashback, not interest, APY or investment returns.

Rate conflict to check

The comparison page’s table says 8% and 10%, but its FAQ says 6% and 9%. The Reserve overview and calculation guide also show 8% and 10%. Confirm your displayed rate before transferring; the remaining promotion capacity was not independently verified. [2][1][3]

Does a paid membership cover its fee?

MoneyQuest calculation from published boosted rates: Premium’s extra 2 points on up to $50,000 give at most $1,000 extra over a full year, matching its fee. Private’s extra 4 points on up to $200,000 give at most $8,000, below its $10,000 fee — Private cannot break even from the Reserve uplift alone. The official page quotes a $250,000 Private break-even without applying its $200,000 cap. Assumes unchanged rates for a full year; the promotion may end earlier. [2]

Promotion end date: official sources differ

KAST’s Concierge rate, overview and calculation articles (checked 13 October 2026) say the promotion ends 30 June 2027 or when Reserve deposits reach $100 million, whichever comes first. The USD Reserve Account terms snapshot (effective 20 August 2026) says 31 December 2026, or the $100 million cap if sooner. The estimator below assumes unchanged published rates for the horizon you pick and keeps its conservative warning past 31 December 2026; it is not a projection beyond a verified promotion deadline. Scenario, not a forecast. Reserve rewards are discretionary — not insured deposits, interest, APY or a guaranteed return — and can be reduced to 0%. Rewards are assumed credited to your spending balance, not reinvested. [16][8]

Sources disagree on the end date: the Reserve page says introductory rates end 1 July 2027; the account terms (effective 20 August 2026, §4) say the promotion ends 31 December 2026 or when a $100m aggregate cap is reached, if sooner. This illustration holds the listed rates constant for the whole horizon you choose; it is not a projection past a verified promotion deadline. [16][8]

How we calculate
  • Standard: balance × 8%.
  • Premium: balance × 8% + min(balance, $50,000) × 2% (10% on the first $50,000).
  • Private: balance × 8% + min(balance, $200,000) × 4% (12% on the first $200,000).
  • Period figure = annual × days ÷ 365. Balances under $2 earn $0. No compounding, no fees deducted.

How do you deposit into Reserve?

  1. Fund your USD balance first. For bank funding, use Receive → USD bank transfer and the account details supplied in your app.
  2. For stablecoins, choose Receive → Stablecoin, select a supported token and network, and use the deposit details displayed. Match the sending network exactly; unsupported deposits may be lost.
  3. Wait until the external deposit is credited. Go to Accounts and select USD Reserve Account.
  4. Tap Deposit, enter at least $2 in eligible USD, review and confirm. Your Reserve balance updates immediately.

Transfers between your USD balance and Reserve are free. External funding and withdrawals can have separate charges. You cannot send a bank or wallet deposit directly into Reserve. [4]

How do withdrawals and daily rewards work?

  1. Open Accounts → USD Reserve Account → Withdraw.
  2. Enter the amount, review and confirm. Eligible funds become available immediately in your USD balance.
  3. Use an available external bank payout or stablecoin withdrawal method from that balance, checking its fee and delivery estimate.
[4]

Card purchases use your USD balance first and may use eligible Reserve funds for any shortfall, reducing the balance earning future rewards. Refunds and card credits return to the USD Spending Balance. [5]

How daily rewards are calculated

Calculations use UTC and the time eligible funds stay in Reserve. A simplified full-day calculation is balance × annual reward rate ÷ 365. At 8%, $1,000 held for a full day produces about $0.22 before rounding. Adding or removing funds partway through a day changes the calculation. [3]

Rewards are normally posted at the end of the UTC day and do not automatically compound in Reserve. [3]

Where rewards land is unclear

Official pages disagree on whether rewards go to the USD Virtual Account or a separate Rewards Balance. Do not assume the card cashback redemption process applies to Reserve. [3][1]
